Illinois High School Softball - St. Anthony bounces Monticello

The St. Anthony Bulldogs routed the host Monticello Sages softball squad by a count of 18-2 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL). The Eagles go into the National Trail battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Brownstown/St. Elmo was routed by Ramsey (Ramsey, IL), 12-5, in a league battle.

The Sages now sport a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Sullivan for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 15. Monticello will meet a Redskins squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to Meridian (Macon, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 7-4.
