North Carolina High School Baseball - Avery County loses to Patton

April 14, 2025: Morganton, NC 28655

Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) followers left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 16-6 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Patton moves its record to 8-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Polk County (Columbus, NC) to battle the Wolverines in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 15. The Wolverines come into the match with a record of 6-10. Polk County lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Heritage for a Western Highlands 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 15. Avery County will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 37-1 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-9.
