North Carolina High School Baseball - Clinton holds off Hobbton

April 14, 2025: Clinton, NC 28328

The Clinton Dark Horses baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Hobbton Wildcats to 4 in the Dark Horses non-league win on Monday.

The Dark Horses now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Pauls for a Southeastern Athletic 2A test on Tuesday, April 15. Clinton will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 5-3 league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-8.

With the defeat, Hobbton drops to 11-6 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Union (Rose Hill, NC) to play the Spartans in a Carolina 1A test on Tuesday, April 15. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 0-10. Union lost 21-0 in their recent league test against North Duplin (Calypso, NC)
