In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Marion Patriots baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the DeSoto Central Jaguars.

The Patriots (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Paragould (Paragould, AR). The Rams go into the 5A East game with a 6-6 record. In their last game, Paragould nudged Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR), 11-1, in a non-league game.
