The Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) baseball got by the visiting Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA), 7-6 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Petersburg for a Central challenge on Tuesday, April 15. Matoaca will clash with a Crimson Wave team coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to John Marshall (Richmond, VA). The Crimson Wave record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Godwin drops to 7-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Hermitage (Richmond, VA) to clash with the Panthers in a Colonial challenge on Tuesday, April 15. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Hermitage won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA)
