In Monday's league battle, the visiting Mineral Springs Hornets baseball team scored a nice 16-3 victory over the Nevada Blue Jays.
The Hornets (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Kirby (Kirby, AR). The Trojans enter the 1A Region 7 battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Kirby was overwhelmed by Cossatot River (Cove, AR), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Blue Jays face the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 17. Nevada will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 1-16 record after their 16-0 league loss to Junction City (Junction City, AR).
