The Wando Warriors baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Oakton Cougars to 5 in the Warriors non-league win on Monday.
The Warriors now hold a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host West Springfield for a non-league test on Monday, April 14. Wando will play a Spartans team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Freedom (South Riding, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-0.
With the defeat, Oakton drops to 7-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 7-9. Chase won 4-3 in their recent league test against Patton (Morganton, NC)
