In Monday's non-league game, the host Pitkin Tigers baseball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Vinton Lions.
The Tigers (19-7) will now prepare for their game against Westlake (Westlake, LA). The Rams enter the non-league game with a 21-10 record. In their last game, Westlake was tipped by Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA), 12-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Lions face the South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 17. Vinton will attempt to improve on its 16-11 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 20-9 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA).
