The Moon Valley Rockets edged the host Cesar Chavez Champions volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league game.
Next up, the Rockets confront the Goldwater Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Skyline game, on Tuesday, April 15. Moon Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 10-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Paradise Honors (Surprise, AZ).
The Champions (1-10) will now prepare for their game against Browne (Phoenix, AZ). The Bruins go into the 6A Metro game with a 10-4 record. In their last game, Browne nudged South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ), 3-1, in a league game.
