In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting West Essex Knights lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-5 triumph over the Mahwah Thunderbirds.

The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Randolph (Randolph, NJ). The Rams go into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Randolph was edged by West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ), 17-7, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Thunderbirds clash with the Ramapo Raiders (Franklin Lakes, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Mahwah will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Raiders go into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 13-7 non-league win over River Dell (Oradell, NJ).
