Illinois High School Soccer - Southwestern knocks off Lutheran

In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Lutheran Crusaders.
The Piasa Birds (3-6) will now prepare for their outing against Litchfield (Litchfield, IL). The Purple Panthers enter the South Central outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Litchfield tipped Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL), 11-2, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Crusaders battle the Unity Christian/Argenta Oreana/Decatur Christian Lions (Forsyth, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 4-1 non-league win over St. Teresa (Decatur, IL).
