The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ) and the visiting Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ), saw Rio Rico's baseball team gain a win over Safford by a tally of 5-2.

The Hawks (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Blue Devils enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Sunnyside by Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ), 12-5, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Catalina Trojans (Tucson, AZ) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Safford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 15-0 league loss to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ).
