In Monday's non-league match, the host Blackford Bruins softball team scored a tight 6-4 win over the Wabash Apaches.

The Bruins (1-1) will now prepare for their match against South Adams (Berne, IN). The Starfires come into the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, South Adams nipped Parkway (Rockford, OH), 10-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Apaches confront the Mississinewa Indians (Gas City, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 15. Wabash will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN).
