The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Charlevoix Rayders (Charlevoix, MI) and the host Houghton Lake Bobcats (Houghton Lake, MI), observed Charlevoix's softball team notch a victory over Houghton Lake by a final score of 17-4.

The Rayders (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, MI). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Ellsworth gained a win over Central Lake (Central Lake, MI), 15-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Lake City Trojans (Lake City, MI) in a Highland bout, on Wednesday, April 16. Houghton Lake will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Grayling (Grayling, MI).
