North Carolina High School Softball - Hobbton bounces Clinton

April 14, 2025: Clinton, NC 28328

In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Hobbton Wildcats softball team scored a tight 12-5 victory over the Clinton Dark Horses.

The Wildcats (5-12) will now prepare for their match against Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Spartans go into the Carolina 1A match with a 0-9 record. In their last match, Union was routed by North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 15-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Dark Horses battle the St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC) in a Southeastern Athletic 2A match, on Tuesday, April 15. Clinton will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the match with a 6-8 record after their 9-2 league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC).
