In Monday's non-league match, the host Morgan Township Cherokees softball team scored a nice 15-0 victory over the East Chicago Central Cardinals.

The Cherokees (2-1) will now prepare for their match against North Judson-San Pierre (North Judson, IN). The Bluejays go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, North Judson-San Pierre gained a win over North White (Monon, IN), 9-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) in a Great Lakes match, on Tuesday, April 15. East Chicago Central will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Governors go into the match with a 2-1 record after their 22-2 non-league win over Gary West Side (Gary, IN).
