The Gentry Pioneers triumphed over the host Northside Grizzlies softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers play the Pea Ridge Blackhawks (Pea Ridge, AR) in a 4A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Gentry will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Gravette (Gravette, AR).

The Grizzlies (2-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Springdale (Springdale, AR). The Bulldogs enter the 6A West challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Springdale was routed by Houston Christian (Houston, TX), 7-0, in a non-league challenge.
