The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) and the visiting Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), observed Great Mills's softball team notch a victory over Westlake by a final score of 16-6.

The Hornets (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Southern (Harwood, MD). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, Southern was routed by Glen Burnie (Glen Burnie, MD), 6-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a Southern Maryland bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Westlake will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 16-0 league loss to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD).
