The New Milford Green Wave edged the host Greenwich Cardinals softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Green Wave meet the Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 16. New Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 9-1 league loss to Watertown (Watertown, CT).
The Cardinals (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT). The Hilltoppers enter the Fairfield County challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Bridgeport Central edged Bullard-Havens (Bridgeport, CT), 19-2, in a non-league challenge.
