North Carolina High School Softball - Lexington drops to Salisbury

The Lexington Yellowjackets softball squad (Lexington, NC), was routed 16-1 in Monday's league contest with the host Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC)

With the triumph, Salisbury improves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Hornets travel to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC) to face the Golden Eagles in a Central Carolina 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, April 15. The Golden Eagles enter the contest with a record of 9-6. East Davidson won 8-5 in their recent non-league contest against Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Yellowjackets now hold a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Davidson for a Central Carolina 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, April 15. Lexington will face a Dragons squad coming off a 18-0 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Dragons record now stands at 12-6.
