Illinois High School Softball - Marist held off by Lincoln-Way Central

In Monday's non-league test, the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) softball squad got by the visiting Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL), by a tally of 3-2.
Next, the Knights clash with the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban test, on Tuesday, April 15. Lincoln-Way Central will attempt to advance on its 9-0 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 5-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Andrew (Tinley Park, IL).
The RedHawks (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL). The Redwings go into the East Suburban Catholic test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Benet Academy was nudged by Yorkville (Yorkville, IL), 4-3, in a non-league test.
