In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Shawnee Indians softball team scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Marion Local Flyers.

The Indians (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Bath (Lima, OH). The Wildcats go into the Western Buckeye match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Bath by Lincolnview (Van Wert, OH), 14-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Flyers battle the Parkway Panthers (Rockford, OH) in a Midwest Athletic match, on Thursday, April 17. Marion Local will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 6-1 record after their 10-4 non-league loss to South Adams (Berne, IN).
