The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) and the visiting St. Charles Bulldogs (St. Charles, MI), observed Merrill's softball team get by St. Charles by a tally of 14-7.

The Vandals (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Coleman (Coleman, MI). The Comets go into the Mid-State bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Coleman was routed by Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI), 2-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) in a Mid-State bout, on Wednesday, April 16. St. Charles will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Irish go into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 8-0 league win over Fulton (Middleton, MI).
