In Monday's non-league match, the host Plainfield Central Wildcats softball team scored a tight 4-2 win over the Sandburg Eagles.
The Wildcats (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans come into the Suburban Prairie - South match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Romeoville by Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL), 14-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban match, on Tuesday, April 15. Sandburg will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the match with a 9-3 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL).
