The Prospect Knights edged the visiting Schaumburg Saxons softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) in a Mid-Suburban West challenge, on Wednesday, April 16. Prospect will attempt to upgrade on its 11-1 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL).

The Saxons (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL). The Mustangs enter the Mid-Suburban East challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Rolling Meadows edged Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL), 18-8, in a non-league challenge.
