In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Piper Pirates baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the Leavenworth PIONEERS.
The Pirates (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Paola (Paola, KS). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 5-2 record.
The PIONEERS (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Shawnee Heights tipped De Soto (De Soto, KS), 10-9, in a non-league game.
