In Friday's non-league game, the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks baseball team scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Oceanside Pirates.
The Mavericks (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Poway (Poway, CA). The Titans go into the game with a 12-6 record. In their last game, Poway tipped Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA), 9-3, in a non-league game.
The Pirates (5-11) will now prepare for their game against Escondido (Escondido, CA). The Cougars go into the game with a 2-11 record. In their last game, Escondido was overwhelmed by Fallbrook (Fallbrook, CA), 8-1, in a league game.
