Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 20-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Morgan for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Brewer will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Cherokee County (Centre, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 18-10.

With the loss, Pelham falls to 3-22 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-16. Briarwood Christian lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Chelsea (Chelsea, AL)
