Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) and the visiting Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY), witnessed Huntington's softball squad tip Corbin by a count of 9-6.

The Highlanders now sport a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Parkersburg South for a non-league match on Monday, April 18. Huntington will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Warren (Vincent, OH). The Patriots record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Corbin moves to 6-5 on the season. The Redhounds travel to Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 4-7.
