Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ballard for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Greenwood will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Collins (Shelbyville, KY). The Bruins record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, Daviess County falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jasper (Jasper, IN) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Jasper won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Evansville Reitz (Evansville, IN)
