Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nitro for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Lewis County will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Gallia Academy falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY) to battle the Thorobreds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Thorobreds enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Harrison County won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Estill County (Irvine, KY)
