In Friday's non-league contest, the Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL) softball team held off the visiting Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Pennington moves its record to 5-15 on the year. The Tigers host Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL) to play the Broncos in a 3A Area 13 contest on Tuesday, April 19. The Broncos come into the contest with a record of 10-6.
