Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) and the host Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC), witnessed Riverside's softball squad tip Socastee by a count of 12-5.

The Beavers now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kenston for a Western Reserve match on Tuesday, April 19. Riverside will face a Bombers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Kirtland (Kirtland, OH). The Bombers record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Socastee moves to 2-12 on the season. The Braves host Conway (Conway, SC) to face the Tigers in a AAAAA Region 6 match on Monday, April 18. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 5-12. Conway won 5-4 in their recent league match against Sumter (Sumter, SC)
