The Cooperstown Hawkeyes baseball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Fort Plain Hilltoppers to 0 in the Hawkeyes non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Markham (West Winfield, NY). The Mustangs go into the Section 3 Center State III match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Mt. Markham edged Adirondack (Boonville, NY), 18-8, in a non-league match.
The Hilltoppers (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Duanesburg (Delanson, NY). The Eagles go into the Section 2 Western - Southern match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Duanesburg by Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY), 6-5, in a non-league match.
