Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Ridgeview Mustangs (Colfax, IL), 7-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Dwight upgrades its record to 6-7 on the year. The Trojans travel to Woodland (Streator, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Tri-County game on Tuesday, April 18. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 6-6.

The Mustangs (2-11) will now prepare for their game against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons go into the Heart of Illinois game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley tipped El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 13-4, in a league game.
