Maine High School Lacrosse - South Portland held off by Lake Region

Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) boosters exited the stadium content Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the visiting South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 9-8 in a non-league battle.
The Lakers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cheverus for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 18. Lake Region will clash with a Stags squad coming off a 18-15 non-league win over Marshwood (South Berwick, ME). The Stags record now stands at 2-0.
In their next game, the Red Riots clash with the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) in a Class A South battle, on Thursday, April 20. South Portland will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
