The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA) and the host Roosevelt Mustangs (Eastvale, CA), saw Huntington Beach's softball squad nip Roosevelt by a count of 7-6.
The Oilers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Los Alamitos for a match on Tuesday, April 18. Huntington Beach will face a Griffins squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Cypress (Cypress, CA). The Griffins record now stands at 7-7.
With the loss, Roosevelt falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host King (Riverside, CA) to face the Wolves in a match on Monday, April 17. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 4-1.
