Illinois High School Softball - Lena-Winslow bounces Amboy

April 15, 2023: Lena, IL 61048

Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host River Ridge/Scales Mound for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Lena-Winslow will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Amboy falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Clippers travel to Polo (Polo, IL) to face the Marcos in a NUIC South challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Marcos enter the challenge with a record of 2-9.
