In Saturday's non-league contest, the Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Anniston Bulldogs (Anniston, AL), by a margin of 17-1.

With the triumph, Boaz moves its record to 29-4 on the year. The Pirates host Dadeville (Dadeville, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 15. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 3-9. Dadeville lost 2-1 in their recent league contest against Randolph County (Wedowee, AL)

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the White Plains Wildcats (Anniston, AL) in a 4A Area 10 contest, on Monday, April 17. Anniston will attempt to move on its 0-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 18-11 record after their 14-8 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AL).
