The Calvary Christian Cougars softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Augusta Panthers to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Calvary Christian improves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Cougars host Campbell County (Alexandria, KY) to clash with the Camels in a District 37 game on Monday, April 17. The Camels come into the game with a record of 8-3. Campbell County won 15-1 in their recent non-league game against Boone County (Florence, KY)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 17. Augusta will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 6-5 record after their 21-1 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV).
