The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Laurel Bulldogs (Laurel, DE) and the visiting Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), saw Laurel's softball squad nip Calvert by a count of 5-3.

The Bulldogs now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Sussex Tech for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 18. Laurel will face a Ravens squad coming off a 16-3 non-league win over Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA). The Ravens record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Calvert falls to 10-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD) to face the Cougars in a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, April 19. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 1-8. Thomas Stone lost 31-10 in their recent non-league match against Westlake (Waldorf, MD)
