Conner Cougars (Hebron, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Cooper for a District 33 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Conner will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Frederick Douglass falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY) to battle the Blue Devils in a District 42 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 13-5. Henry Clay won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison Southern (Berea, KY)
