Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Maple Leafs now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockridge for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. Geneseo will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Moline (Moline, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Princeton falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mendota (Mendota, IL) to battle the Trojans in a Three Rivers East challenge on Monday, April 17. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Mendota lost 22-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Oregon (Oregon, IL)
