In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans softball team scored a close 9-6 win over the Herscher Tigers.
Coming up next, the Spartans battle the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a Illini Prairie outing, on Monday, April 17. St. Joseph-Ogden will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Hawks enter the outing with a 5-7 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL).
The Tigers (12-2) will now prepare for their outing against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats enter the Illinois Central Eight outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, Wilmington was routed by Seneca (Seneca, IL), 6-2, in a non-league outing.
