The Hilltop Lancers softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting Southwest EC Eagles to 1 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Hilltop moves its record to 8-12 on the year. The Lancers host Sweetwater (National City, CA) to clash with the Red Devils in a Metro South Bay game on Thursday, April 20. The Red Devils come into the game with a record of 2-11.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) in a Desert game, on Tuesday, April 18. Southwest EC will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the game with a 4-10 record after their 11-4 non-league loss to San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA).
