The Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) softball routed the visiting Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ), 12-1 in Saturday's league bout.

The Huskies (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers go into the Shore A - Central bout with a 5-0 record. In their last bout, St. John-Vianney toppled Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ), 5-2, in a non-league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Shore Regional for a Shore A - Central bout on Wednesday, April 19.
