Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) and the host Hill-McCloy Rams (Montrose, MI), witnessed Milford's softball squad tip Hill-McCloy by a count of 5-2.

The Mavericks now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kettering for a Lakes Valley match on Tuesday, April 18. Milford will meet a Captains squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Groves (Beverly Hills, MI). The Captains record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Hill-McCloy moves to 1-5 on the season. The Rams host Northwest (Jackson, MI) to meet the Mounties in a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. The Mounties go into the match with a record of 0-4. Northwest lost 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Hartland (Hartland, MI)
