The Seneca Fighting Irish softball team (Seneca, IL), was routed 4-1 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL)

Coming up next, the Norsemen encounter the Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL) in a Little Ten test, on Monday, April 17. Newark will attempt to improve on its 14-0 season record. The Hawks enter the test with a 0-7 record after their 10-2 league loss to Serena (Serena, IL).

The Fighting Irish (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers enter the non-league test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Normal University tipped Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL), 16-0, in a league test.
