In Saturday's non-league contest, the Unatego Spartans (Otego, NY) softball team overwhelmed the host Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY), by a margin of 18-7.
With the triumph, Unatego moves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to Walton (Walton, NY) to play the Warriors in a Section 4 Midstate I contest on Tuesday, April 18. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 0-2.
In their next game, the Vikings play the Sacred Heart Academy Sharks (Buffalo, NY) in a Monsignor Martin contest, on Wednesday, April 19. Nichols will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Sharks come into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Akron (Akron, NY).
