The Catholic Central Sabers got by the visiting Mesick Bulldogs baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Monday's league bout.

The Sabers now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marion for a West Michigan D bout on Thursday, April 18. Catholic Central will face a Eagles team coming off a 17-0 league win over Pentwater (Pentwater, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Manistee Chippewas (Manistee, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 15. Mesick will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Chippewas enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 10-7 league win over Shelby (Shelby, MI).
